Fastest Leeds Goals Scored

This page is dedicated to the fastest goals ever scored by Leeds United. In total, there have been 51 goals recorded as being scored in the first minute for Leeds United across all competitions.

Jermaine Wright holds the club record for the fastest goal scored for Leeds United, when he opened the scoring after just 10 seconds against Burnley at Elland Road on November 3rd 2004.

Mark Viduka’s strike after 11.90 seconds against Charlton remains the second fastest goal scored by the club and is also the fastest ever goal by any non-European in Premier League history.

Leeds' third-fastest strike belongs to Souleymane Doukara who scored after 12 seconds against Ipswich Town on January 12th 2016 at Portman Road.

Pablo Hernandez's famous strike from range against West Brom at Elland Road was clocked at 16.39 seconds in a 4-0 win on March 1st 2019.

Tom Jennings, Rod Belfitt and Bobby Forrest have scored in the opening minute of matches on three occasions for the club, more frequently than any other players in the club's history.

Leeds have scored six goals in the opening minute of Premier League games but none of them have come at Elland Road (Mark Viduka at Charlton, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at West Ham, Alan Smith at Newcastle, David Hopkin at Sheffield Wednesday, Andy Couzens at Coventry City and Wilfried Gnonto at Manchester United).
