Leeds began the 2025/26 season as Championship title winners having recorded a club record 100 points in a league campaign for the first time in the club's history. This is the club's 99th league campaign (excluding the War Years which are not widely recognised as competitive seasons). Daniel Farke took charge of his third season at the club after finishing third and first in his first two campaigns in the Sky Bet Championship.
Leeds agreed a deal to sign 26-year-old German forward Lukas Nmecha from VfL Wolfsburg on a free transfer on June 15th 2025 that would be made official on July 1st 2025. Leeds completed the club's second summer signing with a £15m deal for 26-year-old Slovenian defender Jaka Bijol from Udinese on June 23rd 2025. Leeds captured the £5.2m signing of 26-year-old centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw from VfL Wolfsburg on July 1st 2025.
Leeds completed the signing of 26-year-old Swedish full-back Gabriel Gudmundsson in a £10m deal on July 8th 2025. Leeds added the signing of 27-year-old Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff on July 18th 2025 in a £12m deal rising to £15m if Leeds survived relegation in 2025/26. The Whites completed the signing of 26-year-old midfielder Anton Stach in a £17.3m deal from TSG Hoffenheim on July 22nd 2025. Leeds signed 27-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perri in a £15.6 deal from Olympique Lyon on a four-year deal.
Leeds bolstered the club's attacking options with the free transfer of 28-year-old forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin on August 15th 2025 who was unattached after leaving Everton. Leeds also signed 25-year-old Swiss international Noah Okafor from AC Milan in an £18m deal on August 21st 2025. Leeds completed the signing of 27-year-old defender James Justin in a £10m deal from Leicester City on August 25th 2025. Leeds attempted to add Harry Wilson from Fulham on Deadline Day on September 1st 2025 before the move fell through late on.
Leeds also added defenders 18-year-old Louis Enahoro-Marcus from Liverpool and 17-year-old Jayden Lienou from Manchester City in July 2025.
34-year-old midfielder Josuha Guilavogui and 28-year-old left-back Junior Firpo both left the club over the summer following the expiry of their contracts. Joe Gelhardt joined Hull City on a season-long loan deal, Mateo Joseph joined RCD Mallorca until the end of the season, Charlie Crew joined Doncaster Rovers on a season-long loan deal and 20-year-old defender Diogo Monteiro joined Portugese club FC Arouca on a permanent deal on August 11th 2025. 23-year-old forward Sam Greenwood was sold to Polish outfit Pogoń Szczecin in a £3.4m deal on August 27th 2025. Patrick Bamford left Leeds United after seven years the club after agreeing a mutual termination on August 28th 2025. Leeds mutually agreed to terminate the contract of 31-year-old forward Patrick Bamford after seven years at the club on August 28th 2025. 21-year-old midfielder Darko Gyabi left the club on Deadline Day to join Hull City on a free-transfer on September 1st 2025.
31-year-old full-back Sam Byram signed a new one-year deal on July 8th 2025 that would run until the end of June 2026.
